Martin
Bean has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in the education
industry. He has held several executive management positions with
leading IT organizations during the past two decades and currently
serves as General Manager of Education Products Group, Microsoft. He
has presented to the United States Senate as part of the Technology
Workforce Coalition and, in 2004, moderated a Town Hall conversation
for President George W. Bush on America's technology workforce needs in
the 21st
Century. Mr. Bean will present a keynote address at the IMS Global
Learning Consortium's 2008 Learning Impact Conference in Austin, Texas,
12 May 2008. IMS Global talked with Mr. Bean recently about his
perspectives on the future of education and enhancing teaching and
learning outcomes.
